Why we opt against using plastic refill pouches.
Plastic refill pouches that holds liquid products are made up of a combination of different types of chemically bonded plastics, that makes it impossible to recycle.
While refill pouches do use less plastic than plastic bottles, they are made from 100% virgin plastics that relies on petrochemicals and contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. They are in effect a green-washing exercise and not a solution to single-use plastic.
